LODGING, FOOD, AND SECURITY

Your accomodation will include world-class safari camps and lodges such as Maasai Simba Camp, Oltukai Lodge, Campi Ya Kanzi, Kilaguni Lodge, Mara Sarova Camp, Nomad Beach Cottages among other great places in Kenya's National Parks and Game Reserves.

Simba Camp (Maasai Village)

Visitors to Merrueshi village stay at Maasai Simba Camp located in the middle of several Maasai villages. The camp is a historical site formerly used by Maasai warriors for their warrior training. It has then been open and made accessible for participants to the Maasai Intercultural Exchange Program.

The camp has a combination of tents and bandas or cabins (see right table) and equipped with moderate conveniences such as beds, mosquito nets, lighting (powered with solar panels) flush toilets, and hot water. Each banda or tent is spacious and enjoys total privacy. The community owns the camp. All revenue generated from the camp is injected directly to community’s development projects. The camp has the capacity to accommodate sixteen guests at a time.

Food

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided during your stay in the community and on safari. The meals will be fresh and organic. There would be options for vegetarians.

Tea & coffee is ready by 6:00am - 7:30am
Breakfast served after nature walk 9 am - 10:30 am
Lunch served 12:30 am - 2pm
Dinner served 7pm - 8:30 pm

Security

Security is our number one priority. There will be warriors on site 24 hours a day. All the animals of the African savanna know and are scared of the warriors. Warriors will accompany you during all nature walks and on Safari. This would be the safest place you can be in Africa.
