From the bush to the coast

Many of our guests chose to extend their vacation to the coast of Mombasa and spend three leisurely days at the beach before returning home. Our choice of accommodations in Diani beach are luxurious and extremely spacious. They have breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and lots of fun activities.

Extension to Mombasa will be a wonderful compliment to your safari and bush experience with the Maasai.

Activities on the coast

Activities on the coast of Mombasa include sun-bathing in beautiful white sand beaches, swimming, diving, and snorkeling in spectacular marine waters of the Indian Ocean.

For kids – In addition to organized activities the kids can create lots of fun activities at the beach on their own. There is no shortage of activities especially when you put kids together with a bunch of sand!

Itinerary

Day 1 – After an early breakfast, hop into 4x4's Land Cruiser for your four-hour drive to Mombasa. We’ll stop along the way when we see something interesting. Arrive to your hotel late in the afternoon and take a much needed rest (B&B daily).

Day 2- This day is set aside for you to relax and acclimatize yourself with life on the beach (B&B daily).

Day 3 – After breakfast hop into a glass boat and head out to the reef for exploration. Return for lunch at the beach bar. The rest of the afternoon is left open for swimming, snorkeling, and relaxation (B&B daily).

Day 4 - Fly from Diani to Nairobi’s Wilson airport. Meet your driver and guide and transfer to Pan Afric hotel for a day room. There will be enough time for you to wash up and do last minute shopping in Nairobi before transferring to the airport for your evening flight. Bid farewell to your guides and driver and board your flight back home.

Cost for Trip Extension

Each person pays $1200, double occupancy. The cost covers:

• One-way airline ticket from Diani to Nairobi
• 1 /2 day excursion to the reef
